Before your official pump startup day, 1-2 standard consultations are required to select the right device for you and finalize the administrative paperwork. This step also guarantees that all your required consumables and CGM supplies are prepared and on hand.

PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE
Verifying your policy requirements a pump start.
Coverage rules vary significantly across different funds and policies, so we highly recommend contacting your private health insurer directly prior to your appointment. Please confirm whether your plan covers diabetes education services and—if you are transitioning to a pump—the insulin pump device itself.
Important Note: To fulfill coverage conditions for the device, certain insurers mandate a brief hospital admission (usually a short stay of around 4 hours). Be sure to clarify this with your provider before your pump initiation session.
